American Red Cross Swim Lessons
Ages 6 months to Adults
June 19-29 afternoons
July 17-27 evenings

Youth Tackle Program for students going into 5th & 6th grade in the 2017-18 school year. The program is intended to introduce youth to the sport of football. Fittings will be Wednesday, May 24th from 5:00-7:00 pm at high school cafeteria.
Practices will start on July 31st.

lifeguard training & water safety instructor classes
This course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. The content and activities prepare participants to recognize, respond quickly and effectively to emergencies preventing drownings and injuries. Participants must be 15 years old by the conclusion of class. Students must swim 300 yards continuously, surface dive 7 - 10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without a ladder or steps within one minute & 40 seconds.
Cost of the class includes: training manual, cpr mask, red cross fee and instruction.

Water Safety Instructor
This course trains Water Safety Instructor candidates to teach courses and presentations in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate participantsâ€™ progress. The courses include Parent and Child, Preschool, Learn-to-Swim Levels, Basic Water Rescue and Personal Water Safety courses. To enroll, candidates must be at least 16 years of age on or before the last day of the course and successfully complete the precourse session which includes demonstration of swimming skill at Learn-to-Swim Level 4. Be prepared to be both in and out of the water each day of class.

American Red Cross Lifeguarding Review
The Lifeguard Review course is designed to review all of the lifeguarding skills and core knowledge points required to recertify in lifeguarding. Topics covered in the course include patron surveillance, rescue skills, victim assessment, First Aid, CPR-AED, and care for head, neck and spinal injuries.
