Hinckley-Finlayson Youth Summer Softball 2023
This is a competitive softball league that plays doubleheaders on Thursday evenings at various locations throughout Eastern Minnesota and will require some travel (Other teams may include Mora, Ogilvie, Isle, Pine City, Hinckley, Braham, Milaca, East Central). Fee: $35, which will go towards the cost of league fee, equipment, and uniforms. Players will be responsible for purchasing their own black game pants.
Traveling Tackle Football will start July 24th, but you must register in May.

Water Safety Instructor (WSI) (Blended Learning)
Earn your certification to teach American Red Cross swimming and water safety, and gain the skills needed to teach courses and make presentations to swimmers of every age and ability. Through our WSI program, you can help recreational swimmers meet their goals, refine their skills and stay safe in, on, and around water.

- Helping people with disabilities and other health conditions enjoy the water safely.
- Higher-level swim skills that help prepare people of all ages for any aquatic activity.
- Stroke mechanics for all competitive strokes as well as starts, turns and headfirst entries.
- Fundamentals of diving from a diving board.
- Aquatic fitness and training for people of any age.

MHSRC 55+ Driver Improvement Class - Refresher Course

For those that are 55 yrs and over and have taken the initial class before. The class will explore changes in laws, the latest vehicle technology, and provide you with easy-to-use defensive driving tips. In addition, we will explore traffic safety and accident prevention. The classroom course allows for a 10% reduction in your insurance rate (check with your local insurance agent). Please pre-register at least one week prior. (Dads, Grandmas/Grandpas, and people with no kids are welcome too)
We are all busy, so when we get home at the end of the day the last thing we want to hear is “What’s for dinner?” Come learn how to plan out a month of meals at a time along with all our kitchen and calendar tips for organizing and fitting it all in with less stress. We do not have the money to eat out all the time, we all want to eat a little healthier and feel a little better. You will be given everything you need for the class. Just bring your calendar, a device to search up recipes on and come join us for an evening of planning. Adults 19+ can register for the class. Kids age 14+ are welcome to join at no extra cost if they are interested in learning with you.

Paul Olson
Whether you are a pro, an amateur, or someplace in-between, you no doubt have a desire to improve. Paul Olson spent his entire teaching career at Hinckley Finlayson High School and is now a published and award winning photographer. His images appear in numerous editions of Capture Minnesota books. Paul would like to provide a starting place for photographers to make the best use of their existing camera equipment and will make suggestions about purchasing equipment if asked. Lighting, composition, equipment selection, and camera settings will be discussed in relation to a photographer’s goals.
This is a class for those who use digital cameras. It is not a class for iPhone photography.
Class size is limited.

Hinckley-Finlayson Summer Baseball 2023
Details: Boys currently in grades 4th-5th, 6th-7th and 8th-10th that are interested in being a member of a traveling baseball team.
When: Approximately 12-14 games will be played beginning the end of May and then culminating with an end of year league tourney on/around July 15-16th. Games and practices will be in the early evening.
More info will come from coaches after the registration deadline.
Registration deadline is April 7, 2023. Registration will not be accepted after that date.

Players will be responsible for purchasing their own solid WHITE game pants. A jersey and hat will be provided as part of the fee and generous donation from the Hinckley Knights Baseball Association
Note: If your child participated in the past and their jersey and hat still fits, please have them use it again this summer.
